Outdoor Fitness Free Trial Class

Rise Up Rooted offers a free trial class for those wanting to experience a class prior to committing. Trial classes are available as long as class space allows. 

Option to attend either the 7am or 9am classes 

 

Please note that all classes have a maximum of 12 participants to ensure both a comfortable and safe environment.

CLASS FORMAT:

  • These are small group outdoor fitness classes designed for individuals who are looking to safely connect while receiving the mind & body health benefits of strength training in the outdoors.

  • Warm-up and cool-down will be provided to help ensure a safe workout and recovery.

  • A variety of workout formats are used each class with a focus on foundational movement patterns and total body body strength.  When choosing exercises the use of body weight, resistance bands, and park equipment are incorporated into each workout.

  • The workout can be scaled up or down providing a fun, challenging, and safe class for everyone.

  • Classes run rain or shine!

 

PREREQUISITES:

  • Completion of the provided health screening questionnaire and reviewed by a qualified exercise professional to ensure appropriateness (all classes are designed for the general healthy population).

  • Ability to tolerate one hour of light to moderate intensity physical activity (e.g. walking).

  • Ability to get up and down from the ground unsupported.

  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.

  • An openness to try new things and challenge yourself!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING:

  • Personal mat or towel for use on the ground

  • Water and any emergency medication you may need (e.g. epipen, inhaler)

  • Good running or walking shoes

  • Weather appropriate clothing, with layers preferred (e.g. gloves, sun hat, rain jacket, workout clothing)
